Several xmas trees you see around Rio de Janeiro are made from repurposed PET (Polyethylene terephthalate) bottles. These images are from the Parque Estadual da Chacrinha (Chacrinha State Park), Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro. Despite these innovative sculptural installations, the trash dilemma here is daunting.
